A stepping stone to build upon your physical and mental strength with hope that you gain confidence and peace in your personal movement practice. Our Mindful Movement class offers a gentle approach to movement while also creating a calmness within your body, your mind and your life!
This class series is specifically built for participants who are new to exercise, or who have not participated in movement exercises due to pain issues, and we focus on building strength and confidence in a safe and fun manner. Our class is largely chair-based, with some options to stand and slowly build endurance and balance as we practice comfortable whole-body movements. Each class will start and end with a very short and easy relaxation segment that many people find helpful in dealing with life's stresses. Over time, it is our hope that participants gain strength, confidence and increased mobility to participate in the many class offerings available through Basecamp.
RECOMMENDED LEVEL: Beginner
SPECIAL CLASS NOTES: Specifically built for participants who are new to exercise, or who have not participated in movement exercises due to pain issues. This 8-week (16 session) class series will be held on Tuesdays and Fridays September 3 - October 25, 2019.
