Get on your feet and add years to your life! All you need is a goal, and we'll provide you with a plan and a whole lot of support. Join the Providence Heart to Start program and train to walk or run a 5K, 10K or half-marathon. Our Goal Event is the Providence Heart to Start 5k, 10k and Heartbreaker Half (Sunday, February 11, 2018).
Heart To Start is focused on making exercise enjoyable, achievable and inclusive.
Participate in person or virtually on Facebook. The 12-week program runs Saturday November 18, 2017 - February 3, 2018, and is free and includes workout plans, heart-healthy resources and a supportive community – in-person and online.
It is always important to check with your healthcare provider to make sure you are healthy enough to participate.
A Program Waiver is required for all those participating in the group workouts. Please print off and sign the waiver form, and then scan and e-mail the waiver form to Basecamp, or you may bring your signed program waiver with you to your first workout of the season, to turn in.
When you are submitting your online registration for the program, please type in the Comments field, if you will attend the in-person workouts, or if you will train virtually.
