Intuitive Eating: Gentle Nutrition

This is not a one-size-fits-all nutrition class, rather an opportunity to incorporate self-care and nourishment in a way that is accessible and meaningful to you. We will explore the process of feeding your body from a flexible, joyful and mindful perspective. We will talk about how food policing and nutrition myths are disconnecting and anxiety producing. The goal of the class is to offer you freedom to fully pay attention to your internal body wisdom, and eat in a more pleasurable, attuned way.

Instructor: Jamie Lee RD, LD is a dietitian in Portland, OR, working with individuals on the eating disorder spectrum, from emotional eating, yo-yo dieting to diagnosed eating disorders. In addition, she provides medical nutrition therapy for digestive health, PCOS, blood sugar management and heart health. She holds a B.S. from Portland State University in Community Health Education and two years post-grad in Food Science from the University of Northern Colorado. She is a Certified Wellness Coach through the American College of Sports Medicine, a Certified Intuitive Eating counselor and a member of The Center for Mindful Eating.

This class session will be held in the Providence Basecamp Cardiac Wellness + Prevention Center, located on the first floor of the Providence Mother Joseph Plaza, on the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center campus.
