Basecamp Fitness Classes

Use these class descriptions to help determine what is best for you. These classes are offered as drop-in, no registration required. New participants should complete our annual waiver at their first class.

Breath work & meditation

Learn gentle breathing and foundation meditation techniques. Students are seated to practice these calming techniques in a tranquil, supportive environment. This class requires little movement and uses chairs – mats are available if preferred.

RECOMMENDED LEVEL: Beginner - Advanced

SPECIAL CLASS NOTES: Open to all mobility levels with some accommodations available.


This class is designed to help guide you toward better body awareness, posture and core control. Use of ballet barres for strength training the legs, and hips, mat Pilates training all aspects of the core. All levels welcome. Some use of props will be used for added resistance and support. 

RECOMMENDED LEVEL: Beginner - Advanced

SPECIAL CLASS NOTES: Modifications available for those with limited mobility. Must be able to safely move between standing and floor work.

pilates / FUNCTIONAL TRAINING


chair yoga

A chair-based yoga practice for those who prefer to stretch and move their bodies while staying off the floor.  This class focuses on mindfulness with both seated and standing yoga poses. Students will gain balance, concentration, increased flexibility, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises at the beginning and end of each class will help relax the body and calm the mind.

RECOMMENDED LEVEL: Beginner

sunrise yoga

Begin your day with clarity, positivity and peace of mind by joining us for sunrise yoga! Sunrise yoga will offer an energetic sequence designed to get you breathing and connected to your core and legs.  

RECOMMENDED LEVEL: Beginner - Advanced

foundation yoga

A welcoming class designed to ease you into a dedicated yoga practice. Whether you are brand new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, Yoga Foundations will give you a thorough understanding of foundational yoga postures and intentional breath; safe and proper alignment and focused attention of body and mind. There will be a focus on core strengthening to support the back, long holds in poses to give time for deeper exploration and sequencing that caters to modern biomechanics. Students will gain confidence in their ability to ease pain and undo muscular dysfunctions.

RECOMMENDED LEVEL: Beginner - Advanced

hatha yoga

Our class focuses on the breath to provide an anchor to the practice. There is a focus on yoga as a moving meditation, where the movement follows the breath as we build a deep foundation of relaxation in the body. From that centered, awake place, we build strength, flexibility and balance together. Laughing and having fun is allowed!

RECOMMENDED LEVEL: Intermediate - Advanced

SPECIAL CLASS NOTES: Those with mobility concerns, or those new to yoga, may find this class more challenging. Must be able to safely move between standing and floor work.


gentle yoga

In gentle yoga we will mainly work from the floor but there may be some standing poses; however, modifications are provided if you are unable safely get yourself up from floor. The use of props (i.e. bolsters, blocks, blankets) to fully support the body is strongly encouraged and instructor-led. A focus on breath work and down regulating the nervous system to allow you to disengage from life’s demands and center your thoughts on being present in the moment.

RECOMMENDED LEVEL: Beginner - Advanced

Restorative yoga is the perfect class for those who are looking to deeply relax, disconnect from your busy daily life and melt away stress. The restorative practice aims to soothe your nervous system and help mitigate the effects of the regular fight-or-flight stress response that can be damaging to your well-being. This practice encourages mindfulness and works to center the breath and body, leading toward a healing and recuperative experience. The use of restful postures along with various props, will help to fully support the body to feel safe and nurtured.

RECOMMENDED LEVEL: Beginner - Advanced

SPECIAL CLASS NOTES: Not recommended for those with limited mobility. Must be able to safely move between standing and floor work.
