Here's what participants have said about the program:
"There are few places where it is safe to talk about and address the underlying issues that keep us stuck in our pain and its reflection in our weight. We have all been judged and told to lose weight. This has been the only place where I have had guidance in dropping the biggest weight: the pain of my past."
The class series will be held in the Basecamp Cardiac Wellness + Prevention Center, located on the first floor of the Providence Mother Joseph Plaza, on the Providence St. Vincent Medical Center campus.
Cost is $218, for 10-week course. Register by calling 503-574-6595, or visit www.providence.org.
